Urban green spaces play a substantial role in alleviation of multiple environmental challenges caused by intensified urbanization. However, urban forests themselves are prone to degradation from unsustainable human activities. The Delhi Ridge provide myriad essential ecosystem services the citizens Delhi, though it is under immense anthropogenic pressure. This study carried out for identifying overall land use/land cover dynamics four different parts light rampant urbanization area. Variations were estimated period three decades (1989-2020) with intervening gap 5 years and Landsat data has been analyzed this period. All exhibit increase maximum percentage change area moderately dense forest class observed Central (494.31%). On contrary, there also an built-up at boundaries within depicting severe interference Southern (339.28%). present provides baseline information on spatio-temporal changes highlights impact Such findings hold implications framing rational policies ensuring long-term conservation fragile habitat forest.
